Dear Fellow Rotarians, and Friends,

Well, what a month. Margaret and I have completed our club visits and wasn't it an eye-opener. Congratulations to you all on the great work you are doing in your communities and overseas and also many thanks for your kind hospitality as we travelled around the District.

Since last writing we have also attended the Disrict 9470 Conference at the Sheraton Hotel, vistited the Matilda Bay Craft Fair, attended a week-long DG Seminar and Rotary Institute in Newcastle and capped it off with the Annual Dr Ken Collins Address.

The Rotary Institute was very informative and we were brought up to date with how our donations are being put to great use in the Victorian Bushfire aftermath.

November being The Rotary Foundation Month was quite successful. Support to the Polio film night yielded a small profit and the attendance at the Ken Collins address to hear VC TRF John Germ was heartening. That night we launched the Paul Harris Society, with 11 members commited to contributing at least $US1000 each year, whilst able. We should also be planning on what our contribution will be next February to take the End Polio Now Campaign to the public.

To date the District has contribute some $26,000 to TRF and $9000 to the End Polio Now Campaign. Please keep up the great work, we have a long way to go..

Next month we are on the down hill to Christmas and half way through the year. Time for some extra effort to achieve our goals, the year is running out.

Next week the District 9450 Conference Brochure will be published. We hope you are all going to join us at this great event.

Have a great month in Rotary.

Geoff Simpson, District 9450 Governor, 2009-10
